Founded in 1973 by the late Ian Dougall, a man with an enormous passion for business and a work ethic second to none, Ian understood that building secure relationships. requires an ongoing commitment to customer service and these same principles remain at the heart of our business today.

For almost 50 years Omega Security Solutions has been recognised as the industry leader in providing security technology products encompassing a diverse spectrum of commercial clients including high end residential towers, major construction projects, sporting stadiums, health networks, government infrastructure, international corporations and small business.

The company was born from humble beginnings with the name Western Suburbs Locksmiths (WSL) and operated from a shop front in Albert Street, Footscray. Sustained growth necessitated a move to larger premises and WSL set its roots at – 96 Buckley St, Footscray. In 1994 we became Omega Corporate Security and in the spirit of continued growth and expansion into the high tech security company space, we became Omega Security Solutions in 2012.

Today, the company continues to be family owned and operated by the Thomas and Dougall families and a team of 40+ full time employees. Alongside Ben Dougall, son of founder Ian, is David Thomas. David joined the company as a 14-year old apprentice in 1973 and after excelling in all areas of the business was made a Director in 1993. After 40 years in the business he is now Managing Director and his expertise in the industry remains unparalleled.

We’ve recently moved into our new state-of-the-art facility, at the corner of Francis & Fraster Street, Yarraville.
